Two New Visitors

The birdfeeders are continuing to attract new visitors. Last week I spied this tiny red squirrel under James' feeder.

Making more infrequent visits is this small bird, which as far as I can tell is a Winter Wren. Any thoughts on if that is correct?

This week we were hit with a little snow squall, but I have to say it didn't bother me. After having been out in the desert for five years, I haven't yet had my fill of snow!

Thanks Teresa, I think you are right! Love that Cornell Bird reference, too. Thanks for turning me on to that!

Thanks so much for your comment on my blog.
I used to live in that general area and I loved it. I loved the birds, the squirls, the trees and color. Oh it is making me miss it.

I agree with Carolina, although the photo made melook close. That's pretty cool that you have Red Squirrels.I see mostly greys around here.

He is sooo cute! (the squirrel, and the wren for that matter too--he looks like our Carolina Wrens) I really like the bluebirds in the previous post too!
